Our experience

Supporting power generation in Uzbekistan

Energy, Construction

We advised Stone City Energy on a project to finance, construct and operate a US$1.2 billion combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Uzbekistan, which will supply 1560MW under a 25-year power purchase agreement. The project won APAC 'Power and Transmission Deal of the Year' and is expected to commence operations by 2026. Our team continues to support the project’s development, financing, and closing alongside consortium members Nebras, EDF, and Siemens Energy.

A strategic joint venture to create an “East to Med” data corridor

Infrastructure

We advised the Saudi Telecommunication Group (stc) on its strategic partnership with the Greek telecoms and satellite applications company TTSA and Greece’s power utility Public Power Company (PPC) to develop a new, sub-sea and terrestrial fibre optic cable system linking Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia. The project supports both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambition to consolidate its position as a key global digital hub, and the rapid maturation of its digital eco system. The complexity of the transaction required specialists in telecommunications, competition and project financing.

Pioneering green refurbishments in major City redevelopments

Construction

We advised JP Morgan Asset Management on the redevelopment of 65 Gresham Street in London, which includes a 400,000 sq ft pre-let to Squarepoint, the largest in London in two years. The project is one of the capital’s largest “brown to green” refurbishments, with construction set to begin in 2025 and completion expected in 2028. Our team will continue to advise JP Morgan AM on the complex construction risk allocation and the project’s incorporation of strong green credentials. We are also currently negotiating two major design and build contracts with a leading enabling work contractor and a global construction firm, in order to deliver the completed building in early 2028.
