Marianne, a partner based in London, specialises in non-contentious construction law in our Construction team, with particular experience in urban regeneration, data centres, major real estate development, over station developments, private hospital projects and corporate occupier headquarters work.
She advises on a rich portfolio of projects, including some of the most iconic buildings in London including Battersea Power Station, the Shard, and Canary Wharf estate. She acts for property developers, funders, and occupiers, demonstrating her wide-ranging expertise in the market across office, residential and mixed use projects.
Marianne is recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Partner and has also been acknowledged by Chambers and Partners for her expertise in non-contentious construction, reflecting her high standing in the field and her significant contributions to construction law, real estate development and the data centre industry. Marianne is a regular speaker at client seminars and a contributor to industry publications, as well as LinkedIn vlogs and blogs, demonstrating her expertise and thought leadership in construction law, real estate development and the data centre industry. Marianne established and currently heads the firm's Real Estate Development Interest Group (Re-DIG), which focuses on the real estate development sector.
Serving as an active member of the firms' multidisciplinary cross border data centre team, Marianne is passionate about the data centre industry and the critical role it plays in the digital age.
Marianne’s experience includes advising:
- Native Land on the construction of Bankside Yards, a 1.4m sq ft mixed use urban regeneration riverside project in Southwark with a GDV of £2bn.
- The Platinum JV (Places for London and Helical Plc) on the construction of three major over station developments at Bank (office), Southwark (student accommodation and affordable housing) and Paddington (office).
- Art Invest on the redevelopment of historic listed building Sackville House on Piccadilly.
- Helical Plc on the construction of a speculative office at 100 New Bridge Street, a major “brown to green” refurbishment project with exemplary green credentials.
- Global Switch on data centre construction around the globe.
