We are excited to announce our latest set of webinars of the Project Finance Academy, a global training programme by Simmons & Simmons designed to provide valuable and practical insights into the world of project finance. This initiative was tailored for banks, ECAs, multilaterals, funds, institutional clients, public sector entities, and sponsors/developers, offering a comprehensive exploration of key topics in the sector.
About the programme
The Project Finance Academy was structured into three terms, each featuring a series of webinars covering both technical/legal and commercial topics. Term 1 has now concluded and recordings of each session can be found below. Registration is now open for Term 2 and invitations for Term 3 will be distributed in advance of it's start date.
Term 2: Session Details

- Duration: 45 minutes (including Q&A)
- Workshop Leaders: Our speakers will vary from session to session and will include lawyers from our global Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction sector group, our global Banking group and other related groups.

- 3rd February: Financing of projects in Emerging Markets and dealings with host governments
- 17th February: Sponsor Support, Direct Agreements and taking security in Project Finance
- 3rd March: Mine Financings
- 17th March: Intercreditor Provisions and Subordination
- 31st March: Oil & Gas financings
