After a tumultuous first quarter (which one in recent times has not been?!) it's time to revisit and update the expectations we had for 2023 when we published our "Year ahead” suite of forecasts back in January.
At that time we characterised the year ahead as one of turning points (for the better!) in key elements of the macro environment. Many of the macro indicators we highlighted have been moving in the right direction. But some of the risks we called out have also surfaced - notably in the banking sector - hence the extreme volatility we’re seeing at the end of the first quarter.
So please watch our next global insights session on demand. Our panel of experts updated us on the outlook for the remainder of this year and its implications for what lies beyond. In particular, the current volatility in the banking sector and beyond including the role of FinTech in corporate resilience; but also on energy transition and AI within the wider world of digitalisation.
