Abdelaziz Khatab is a Partner in the Intellectual Property practice at Simmons & Simmons. He advises multinational corporations, technology leaders, investors and innovative life sciences companies on their most strategic patent, licensing and innovation challenges.

A dual-qualified attorney-at-law and European Patent Attorney, Abdelaziz combines legal, technical and commercial expertise to help clients navigate the increasingly complex global innovation landscape. He represents clients before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), national courts and the European Patent Office (EPO), developing coordinated strategies that align intellectual property protection with broader business objectives.

Abdelaziz is particularly sought after for high-stakes patent disputes involving commercially significant technologies, cross-border enforcement campaigns and global licensing negotiations. He regularly advises on standard-essential patent (SEP) and FRAND matters, freedom-to-operate assessments, portfolio optimisation, technology transfers, acquisitions and strategic IP transactions.
