Intellectual Property

Our intellectual property practice delivers strategic and practical legal advice to protect our clients’ innovations and support their business ambitions.

We don’t just advise on the law – we shape it. Drawing on the detailed expertise and experience of market leading individuals within an international network, we tackle complex, multi-jurisdictional challenges involving prosecuting, litigating and commercialising IP.

We take pride in building strong partnerships with our clients. Our advice in patent, trade mark and design portfolio protection is grounded in our clients’ businesses. Our international litigation team delivers cross-border solutions in the most difficult, high-value disputes. And clients trust our commercial approach to deliver strategically important transactions.

Our teams have science and engineering backgrounds and we understand the technologies underlying fast developing fields, from advanced biologic therapies to standard essential patents and blockchain.

We’re leaders in innovative areas such as Fintech and Digital Health and we use and create technology of our own – using it to work more efficiently and achieve better outcomes for our clients.

Kinetic Concepts Inc

Retained by Acelity for all European patent matters, including European patent filing, managing a portfolio of over 100 oppositions at the EPO, and infringement and freedom to operate projects.
