Giulio has been a co-head of the IP practice in our Milan office since 2018. He has a long track record of judicial and extra-judicial cases in all IP-related sectors. This includes patents, trademarks and domain names, appellations of origin and geographical indications, industrial design, copyright and related rights, unfair competition, trade secrets and arbitration.
Giulio Enrico has a wide experience also in cross-border cases and regularly handles contentious and non-contentious matters at an international level.
Giulio is associate professor of IP Law and Commercial Law at the Catholic University of Milan, Faculty of Economics, and has also held a number of courses on patent legislation at the University of Parma. He regularly presents papers and attends domestic and international conferences and holds lessons at postgraduate courses such as several editions of the Industrial Property Course – Patents organised by the Polytechnic University of Milan as well as the post-graduate classes on Intellectual Property organised by Just Legal Services.
He has authored a monograph, commentaries and a series of articles and comments in the IP field published by well-known law review publications for many years.
He is ranked among Leading Lawyers in Chambers Global/Europe and Legal 500, and has earned many mentions in benchmark legal publications such as Legalcommunity, TopLegal and many others.
Since many years Giulio is ranked in IAM Patent 1000, World Trademark Review in the enforcement and litigation category and IP Stars as both Trademark Star and Patent Star.
Giulio was ranked in the first place in the IP & IT sector at the 2024 “Italian Legal and Tax Excellence” by Milano Finanza – Class Editori and was awarded as Fashion & Luxury Lawyer of the Year at the 2022 TopLegal Industry Awards.
Giulio is a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), which became operational on 1 June 2023.
