Patsy is a Partner in the firm’s Disputes and Intellectual Property team, with over 25 years’ experience in trademarks and brand protection. She specialises in trademarks and brand strategy, advising on the protection, structuring, and enforcement of complex, multi‑jurisdictional trademark portfolios. Her practice spans the full lifecycle of brand management, from clearance and prosecution through portfolio strategy, opposition, invalidation, and rectification, to appeals before the Hong Kong courts.

Patsy regularly coordinates international portfolios across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East for clients in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, media and technology, luxury and FMCG. She also advises on a wide range of IP‑related commercial transactions, including assignments and licensing, as well as due diligence in IP‑heavy matters and brand‑driven projects.

Patsy is dual‑qualified in Hong Kong and California, with a JD and BA from the University of San Francisco and a Diploma in Intellectual Property Litigation from Nottingham Law School. A former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Trademark Practitioners, she has held long‑standing leadership roles within the International Trademark Association, where she currently serves on the Brands and Sustainability Committee. She is consistently recognised by leading legal directories such as Chambers Asia Pacific, Legal 500, World Trademark Review 1000, and Managing IP, and was the exclusive winner of the Lexology Client Choice Award for IP – Trademarks in Hong Kong in 2022.
