Drew leads several multi-disciplinary teams including the LLM team in Solutions our 5th International Practice group.
Earlier in Drew's career he worked in data and scheduling for manufacturing businesses, then a digital workflow business, and then at booking.com in a legal and compliance role. He practised as a commercial lawyer at an international law firm for several years before developing the new profession of legal engineering, further developing that concept as one of the founding partners of Wavelength, which became the world's first regulated legal engineering firm. In 2019 that business was acquired by Simmons & Simmons, and rebranded as Simmons Wavelength.
His current focus is examining the impact of Large Language Model (LLM) on the business of the firm, and to work with the firm's clients to manage the risks and to safely explore the opportunities that arise from these technologies.
Drew is part of the team who developed Percy AI, Simmons & Simmons' in-house generative AI tool. Percy was named the winner in the innovation in AI category at the FT Innovative Lawyers 2025 Europe Awards. This is a prestigious award highlighting the success of the development and widespread adoption of Percy across the firm. Discover more about FT AI innovation award.
