Triple award win for Simmons at the British Legal Awards

International law firm Simmons & Simmons continued its strong year of high-profile award wins securing three awards at the British Legal Awards 2025.

The firm’s unique in-house generative AI tool Percy was honoured once again, in the “Best Use of Technology” category, open to all private practice and in-house teams. This follows previous wins for Percy at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards and the Legal Technology Awards earlier this year.

Simmons’ Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team also collected a further award, winning “Tech and Telecoms Team of the Year”, which centred on the firm successfully defending BT in a landmark £1.3 billion collective action trial – a case led by a team including Patrick Boylan (International Head of Dispute Resolution) and Eleanore Di Claudio (Partner).

This was followed by an individual award win for Managing Associate Camilla Jessel, who secured the “Rising Star” award for her success in leading several high-profile projects in firm’s the Financial Services Regulation practice.

Drew Winlaw, Global LLM Lead, said: "It’s a real honour for Percy to have been independently recognised again for its transformative impact on legal service delivery. There has been a truly immense effort from multiple teams across the firm over the last year. This further win reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and the power of generative AI to enhance the way we work, both for our clients and our people.”

Alex Brown, TMT sector head, commented: "Winning the TMT Team of the Year award is a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our disputes team and the result of the vast experience the firm has operating in the sector. I’m incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful for the trust our clients place in us."
