The Simmons & Simmons International Employment Meet-Up has been meeting quarterly in person in San Francisco for the last year. For the summer, we are hosting an online special edition on 9 July 2025 at 10am PT.
We’ll be focussing on the topic of global legal issues in the use of AI in international HR technology and talent acquisition. Based on the fantastic insight and discussion we had on this topic at our last in-person meet-up, we’re going to focus more on this area with a one-hour roundtable deep-dive with practical tips and discussion on how to identify and addresses legal challenges.
We’re planning on a plenary discussion with small break out groups covering issues such as:
- Trends in the use of AI in the recruitment and HR contexts.
- Privacy issues.
- AI specific law including the EU AI Act.
- Bias, discrimination risk and defending legal claims related to AI tools.
- Risk assessing AI tools and contracting with HR Tech vendors.
So, whether you attended last time or not, we’d be delighted to see you at this online event.
The International Employment Meet-Up is specifically for in-house counsel and senior HR professionals whose roles have international scope. Each meet-up is an opportunity for networking and peer knowledge sharing. As always the discussion will be held under the Chatham House Rule to help everyone feel comfortable sharing.
