International Employment Meet-Up: January 2025

A meet-up group in the SF Bay Area dedicated to in-house employment counsel and HR professionals who manage international workforces.

23 January 2025

Event

We postponed our International Employment Meet-Up on 5 December due to the tsunami warning. We are relieved that everyone is safe and are sorry we missed the opportunity to see you. We have therefore rescheduled the meet-up for Thursday, 23 January 2025. We’re going to keep the same theme of global diversity, equity and inclusion challenges and strategies for employers.

We’ll cover a range of issues on this topic including:

  • The evolving D,E & I landscape across the world
  • Market insight on how employers are balancing difficult issues across their international workforce
  • Affirmative action and it equivalents in international jurisdictions
  • Pay gap reporting requirements across the world, including the EU Pay Transparency Directive

We are welcoming in-house employment counsel and HR professionals who are based in the SF Bay Area and manage international workforces to join us.

The meet-up will be an opportunity to share challenges and practical approaches. There will also be an opportunity for networking with peers and discussing international employment issues more broadly.
We’ll be limiting attendees to those working in-house in HR and legal roles to ensure that participants feel comfortable sharing knowledge and practice freely amongst peers facing the same challenges. The discussion will be held under the Chatham House Rule. If you have colleagues or contacts that you think might find this group valuable, we are happy to extend the invitation.

The event will take place from 12.30pm to 1.30pm PT (registration and lunch from 12 noon) at the Salesforce Tower.
