Event

We were delighted to host International Arbitration Day on 2 June and co-host six LIDW member-hosted sessions during the course of the week.

During LIDW, we hosted a dynamic series of expert-led sessions examining the shifting landscape of global dispute resolution. Highlights included a keynote by Sophie J. Lamb KC and panels on arbitration in corporate and private equity with insights from Asia, the concept of the ‘ideal’ arbitration seat, and the EU’s evolving stance on ISDS.

We also featured a conversation with the Chief Justices of the DIFC, ADGM, and QFC Courts on jurisdiction and procedural innovation, a forward-looking discussion on training disputes lawyers in the age of AI, and a lively debate on London’s future as a global disputes hub. Additional sessions explored disputes arising from the energy transition, the future of construction disputes shaped by climate and technology, and international approaches to tackling fraud - particularly in crypto and digital assets. Several sessions also concluded with valuable networking opportunities.

If you missed any of the sessions or would like to revisit the discussions, all recordings are now available to watch on demand below.

We hope you found the sessions insightful and valuable. If you’d like to explore any of the topics further, please don’t hesitate to get in touch using the enquiries contact.
