Patrick Boylan is International Head of Disputes and a leading specialist in contentious competition matters. He has more than 25 years' experience advising clients on competition litigation, collective actions and regulatory disputes.

Patrick has acted in some of the most significant competition cases before the English courts. He successfully represented BT in the defence of the first UK opt-out collective action to reach trial and is currently defending a major tech client in two collective actions. He has also acted in numerous private damages actions arising from cartel findings, as well as cases involving allegations of abuse of dominance and excessive pricing.

A partner and solicitor advocate (All Higher Courts), Patrick has extensive experience of managing complex cross-border disputes, including litigation, arbitration and civil fraud matters. He regularly advises clients in regulated sectors, including technology, telecommunications, life sciences, energy and financial services.
