Niall is a strategic advisor on international energy, natural resource, infrastructure, and construction projects across the Middle East and in emerging markets.
He helps clients manage legal issues, identify legal, commercial, and reputational risk, and resolve high-value or complex problems during the full project lifecycle. Niall acts for project developers, employers, and tier 1 international and regional contractors, providing clear, practical, and commercial advice and opinions that support fast and informed decisions.
Much of his work involves supporting clients during project implementation, helping them manage delays, changes, and other risks, and avoid disputes. He plays a key role in legal project governance, embedding legal oversight and best practice into project management to control risk, ensure compliance, and achieve project objectives. He also ensures records and negotiation strategies support early resolution and dispute avoidance, or, where necessary, create a robust case for formal dispute resolution.
Niall also has extensive experience in high value and complex arbitration, and other formal dispute resolution processes when escalation cannot be avoided.
