Trevor, a partner based in London, is a highly experienced specialist in non-contentious construction law within our Construction team, with a focus on the real estate and infrastructure sectors, both in the United Kingdom and internationally. He has extensive experience in all aspects of development and infrastructure projects.

Trevor advises a wide range of clients including developers, corporate occupiers (such as banks, other financial institutions, and multinational companies regarding their headquarters requirements), as well as in real estate and development financings. His clients span across various sectors of the real estate market including residential (Build to Rent), student accommodation (PBSA), office, out-of-town retail development, data centres, and logistics and distribution centres. He also represents private equity funds, fund managers, investors, and developers of residential and office portfolios.

Trevor has advised on all major forms of construction procurement including traditional procurement, design and build, construction management, and prime contracting using both standard and bespoke forms of building contracts. He also has significant experience in drafting and negotiating EPC, O&M, and Long-Term Services Agreements in relation to the infrastructure, rail, and government accommodation sectors. Trevor works closely with colleagues in each of the 4 main sectors of the firm, providing non-contentious construction advice where required in relation to development agreements, agreements for lease, forward funding, and facility agreements.

Trevor’s experience includes advising:

  • Leading UK and Japanese Financial Institutions on the negotiation of agreements for lease and the design and construction of new standalone and co-located data centres and the negotiation and agreement for lease of data centre space to support its UK and European banking operations.
  • Westbrook Partners on all of their construction requirements regarding the purchase, redevelopment, financing and letting of offices, residential and logistics schemes.
  • Ark Schools / EdCity on the construction aspects of the design and construction of EdCity West London to provide for the design and construction of a £150m investment providing an educational hub, new affordable homes, a modern office building, and improved community facilities at White City in West London.
  • NDC Garbe on the design and construction of data centres in Germany.
  • The Financial Conduct Authority on the negotiation of the agreement for lease and contracts and appointments in relation to the occupation and fitting-out works in relation to their relocation to the International Quarter, Stratford.
