Central Bank confirms compliance with ESMA's MiCA Guidelines
On 9 July 2025, ESMA published Guidelines under the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA).
The Guidelines specify supervisory practices that NCAs must implement in order to prevent and detect market abuse involving crypto-assets. Their aim is to ensure supervisory convergence among EU NCAs so insider dealing, the unlawful disclosure of inside information, and market manipulation are identified and prevented.
As part of the implementation of MiCA, the Central Bank has confirmed its compliance with the Guidelines.
