ESG - Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures guidance

On 14 October 2021, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) published;

1. Updated Implementation Guidance; replacing the 2017 annex to the TCFD recommendation.

2. New guidance on Metrics, Targets, and Transition Plans; which follows a June 2021 consultation on supporting companies in making useful disclosures and linking them with estimates of financial impacts.

3. The Fourth TCFD status report; which outlines the growth of TCFD-aligned disclosures and highlights the progress that still needs to be made.

Next Steps

The TCFD has been invited (by the Financial Stability Board) to provide its next status report in September 2022.
