Updated Irish limited partnership law approved by Irish Government
On 11 June 2019, the Irish Government approved the publication of the Investment Limited Partnership (Amendment) Bill 2019 (the Bill).
Regulated limited partnerships in Ireland are established pursuant to the Investment Limited Partnership Act 1994, which is now 25 years old and in need of reform. The Bill amends the current rules to reflect developments in investment funds regulation at a European level. It is hoped that the enactment of the Bill will make Ireland a more attractive domicile for private funds managers.
