Simon is a Senior Professional Support Lawyer in the Banking Group. He supports the Group on all technical elements of transactional banking and works on strategic knowledge-based projects for both the Group and firm-wide.
Before taking on this role, he worked as a transactional banking lawyer for upwards of twenty years and was a partner in another City law firm.
Simon has delivered presentations on retained EU law and keeps a watching brief on the evolution of this distinct and important body of law.
He enjoyed being a member of the Joint Working Party of the Law Society Company Law Committee, and the City of London Law Society Company Law and Financial Law Committees which reported in July 2016 on the use of e-signatures. This was an important resource for many businesses seeking to complete transactions during the pandemic.
