Sabine is a private M&A lawyer, specializing in private equity matters, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions in the areas of technology, health care, manufacturing industries and energy. She also advises Japanese corporate clients on outbound M&A transactions into Europe and represents the Japan Desk of Simmons & Simmons in Germany.

Sabine represents German and international funds, financial investors, financial institutions and larger corporates, in particular on cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, private equity and growth investments, joint ventures, carve-outs and portfolio transactions. She has specific industry expertise in the technology, health care, manufacturing as well as in the energy sector.

Relevant experience includes:

  • advising Waterland Private Equity on the acquisition of portfolio companies and relevant add-ons, eg in the field of online marketing and e-commerce, including the set-up of the management investment structure
  • advising Avedon Capital Partners on the acquisition and exit of portfolio companies, eg in the bearings and industrial filter sectors as well as in BPO in the energy sector
  • advising Danish biotechnology company Genmab A/S on its strategic investment in CureVac AG
  • advising Japanese Tokuyama Dental Corporation on the restructuring of its German and Italian joint ventures with Italian Euronda group

Sabine is a non-executive member of the German-Japanese Economic Circle. She completed a 3 months’ secondment in the Tokyo office of Simmons & Simmons. Before joining Simmons & Simmons, Sabine worked for another leading international law firm with US headquarters.

She is recognized a “Stand-out Lawyer 2025” by the Thomson Reuters’ global research with senior in-house counsel and has been ranked as one of Germany's best lawyers in the field of M&A in “Handelsblatt - Best Lawyers” ranking for the second year in a row.
