Andy leads our non-legal insights across a range of sectors, practice groups and thematics. From his multi-decade experience in Investment Strategy and business consultancy he specialises in scenario analysis and horizon scanning to identify issues for which our legal experts have or can develop client solutions.
Andy spent most of his working career as a Head of Research or Investment Strategist for major financial institutions. In both roles he conducted research on both short and longer-term issues (horizon scanning) to understand their impact “today” on the institutional portfolios and corporate business strategies he was running or advising.
He began working with Simmons & Simmons in 2018 leading the research component of our seminal look at the future of the Asset Management industry – Asset Management 2025. Today his agenda includes updating that study, ESG, LIBOR, Brexit and most recently the potential global impact of coronavirus.
