Colleen Cleary is highly regarded in Ireland for her expertise and advice on complex and sensitive employment law issues as well as a strong reputation in litigation. She is known together with a leading team of experienced employment lawyers in providing personable and timely advice. She has been recognised as a Thought Leader and referred to as “an outstanding employment law expert who is very experienced and excellent to deal with” in Who’s Who – Labour & Employment.

She advises a diverse range of clients with expertise in the health sector, technology and financial services. She has worked cross border on international employment issues and disputes and has passion for international perspectives on employment law and is a regular speaker and contributor to podcasts.

Colleen is dual qualified as a solicitor in Ireland and England and Wales. She is certified in advanced advocacy with the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s National Institute for Trial Advocacy. She is also an accredited mediator with CEDR and an accredited workplace investigator with the US based Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI). She is skilled not only in advising on internal workplace investigations but has a gold standard approach and methodology as an independent workplace investigator.

She was previously chair of the Employment Law Association of Ireland (ELAI) and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and specifically the ABA International Labor and Employment Law Committee. She is the Irish representative for the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) and a member of the International Forum of Senior Executive Advisers (IFSEA) and the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) in the UK.
