Alex is a Middle East-based senior lawyer who focuses on Healthcare & Life Sciences work across the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She advises leading international and regional pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare businesses on complex regulatory, commercial and strategic matters across the Middle East. Her work spans structuring commercial arrangements, advising on collaborations and licensing, supporting market entry, expansion and ongoing operations, and navigating regulatory risk in highly regulated environments, including in the context of dispute-related advisory matters.

She is a trusted advisor to clients on complex and business-critical issues, particularly where legal, regulatory and commercial considerations come together in evolving markets across the GCC. She is particularly experienced in matters at the intersection of healthcare, data and technology, advising on digital health initiatives and data-driven business models, including the use, sharing and commercialisation of health data.

She has enhanced her Healthcare & Life Sciences sector expertise through in-house secondments at global pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca and GSK.

Alongside her sector focus, Alex has a strong background in intellectual property law, with experience of leading strategic, commercial and transactional IP projects across sectors. Her international expertise covers the full life cycle of IP assets, both as standalone projects and as part of corporate transactions, and she advises clients across a range of IP-rich industries on complex commercial contracts.

Her experience across the TMT sector includes advising telecoms operators, digital platforms and technology vendors and customers on a range of commercial and regulatory projects.

She trained and qualified at a magic circle law firm in London and has over a decade of experience practising at leading international and specialist IP law firms before relocating to the UAE.
