Paloma is a supervising associate at the Corporate and Commercial practice of our Madrid office, with experience in all aspects of commercial law, and specialized in Insurance Law and Pension Plans and Funds.
In particular, Paloma has been involved in various corporate transactions in the sector, having participated in the purchase of insurance companies and insurance brokers, bancassurance agreements, review and drafting of insurance policies, issuing reports on insurance, banking and financial regulatory issues (e.g. regulations on insurance distribution, outsourcing, freedom to provide services, right of establishment, insurance contract law, consumer credit or marketing of banking products).
In addition, Paloma is also experienced in the daily business of companies and has participated and coordinated different Pro Bono projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Paloma worked for two well-known international law firms, at their corporate department, also specialized in insurance law matters. During university, Paloma completed a summer internship at a Spanish law firm, and had the opportunity to work for an international law firm in Brussels.
Paloma has a double degree in business administration and law at IE University, she completed an exchange program at the University of Melbourne and studied a Master in corporate law at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
Recently, Paloma has finished an insurance regulatory law specialization programme at IEB (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles).
