Yuchen Lai is a Supervising Associate in our Shenzhen office and a PRC qualified lawyer.
Yuchen works extensively for international and Chinese telecoms, media and technology (TMT) companies, strategic and financial investors, financial institutions, asset managers, FinTech companies as well as life science companies. She advises on a wide range of compliance issues such as data and wider regulatory compliance, as well as corporate transactions. Yuchen has a strong focus on China data advice and has in-depth knowledge and rich experience in Chinese and global data compliance projects.
Before joining the firm, Yuchen was a senior journalist with a large media organisation in China, focusing on legal reporting for over a decade. With her cross-sector background, Yuchen excels at regulation and policy analysis and providing comprehensive, pragmatic and commercial advice.
Yuchen is recommended for her work in the TMT category in China by The Legal 500 and was specifically highlighted by clients for her ‘fintech expertise.’
