Juan Manuel is a supervising associate in our Madrid office. His main area of expertise is focused on corporate and non-resident tax advisory services, as well as transactional tax work, including M&A transactions and international tax planning in relation to cross-border real estate investments.
On the advisory side, he is responsible for the ongoing advice to a wide range of multinational companies with presence in Spain in relation to all areas of corporate and indirect taxation on its day to day business operation, with specific focus on asset managers and investment firms. Juan Manuel advises also a number of foreign fund managers with no presence in our jurisdiction, on a wide range of aspects concerning Spanish non-residents taxation in relation to financial investments. He has also relevant experience in some areas of taxation related to capital markets.
He is also regularly involved in disputes with the Spanish Tax Administration and the Spanish courts. His experience covers all the different stages within the litigation process, including the preparation of the claims and the litigation strategy involving direct and indirect taxes.
