Ensuring that an organisation’s employment documents are up to date both with legal requirements and best practice is crucial to protect the business from unnecessary risks.

In addition to the core employment agreements entered into with individuals, this also applies to settlement agreements, handbooks, standalone policies and documents setting out internal processes.

In order to help employers ensure that their documents are up to date, Simmons & Simmons has compiled a running checklist (available here) of the changes in the last 12 months which might require such documents to be amended.

The checklist sets out which documents might be affected, what needs to be considered and provides a link to further detail on the actual change.  The checklist is continuously updated and may well be worth saving as a favourite for ease of access.
