Getting there - Ireland’s Investment LP Bill passes Committee Stage
The Irish Investment Limited Partnerships (Amendment) Bill moves closer to being enacted.
As we reported in June, the Irish government has introduced the Investment Limited Partnerships (Amendment) Bill. The Bill would make significant, and welcome, changes to Irish investment limited partnerships (ILP), which we summarise in our earlier note.
Although some time has passed since its introduction, the Bill continues to make progress in its journey through the Irish parliamentary process.
It has now completed the Committee Stage in the Dáil Éireann (the Irish lower house) - during this review, no amendments have been made to the original proposals.
The Bill now passes swiftly to the Report Stage in the Dail before moving to the Seanad Éireann (the Irish upper house) in January 2020.
We will, of course, update you further when the Bill’s passage through the Irish Parliament is complete.
