Frenkchris is an Associate in the Competition, Antitrust, and Trade team based in Brussels. He advises and represents sovereigns, ministries, and multinational companies on EU and international competition and trade matters. His work includes investigations, notifications, and disclosures across competition and trade, covering mergers, distribution, and dominance issues, as well as trade remedies, customs, sanctions, and export controls. He also counsels on foreign subsidies, FDI, and tech regulation. He often works on matters involving complex cross border supply chains across the EU and trade flows with the wider EMEA region, the Americas, and Asia.

He has guest lectured on international trade law and intellectual property at Leiden University and on sanctions and export controls in Prishtina, Kosovo, in collaboration with the US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program.

Before joining the firm, he worked at leading law firms in Brussels and Amsterdam as well as the Dutch and EU Permanent Missions to the World Trade Organisation and at the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva. He holds degrees from Leiden University, the Geneva Graduate Institute, and the College of Europe in Bruges, and received scholarships and prizes, including from the Van Panhuys Fund and the VSBfonds. He is a member of the Brussels Bar and is fluent in Dutch, Indonesian, English and French, with conversational Spanish.
