Thomas specialises in domestic and international cross-border private equity and M&A transactions.
He primarily acts for private equity funds on buy-side transactions and exits, their portfolio companies, for management teams and for sellers (in particular those selling to private equity).
Thomas acts for clients who operate in a broad range of sectors including healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, technology, media and telecommunications, and business and professional services.
He has worked in private equity cross-border transaction teams at leading international and US firms in London and Sydney prior to joining Simmons & Simmons in 2025.
He has previously been seconded to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (M&A and Advisory) and led seminars in law at the University of Wollongong, Australia.
