Effie is a Middle East-based Managing Associate in the Simmons Wavelength team - a multi-skilled business where the team uses technology, data science and design to improve legal functions and analysis for clients.
With over 12 years of experience as a commercial and corporate lawyer, Effie has built a distinguished career acting for large multinationals, start-ups and scale-ups across the UK and Middle East. Her legal journey began in the corporate department of a Magic Circle firm in London before transitioning to successful in-house roles where she has thrived in organisations ranging from 600 to 25,000 employees.
Before joining Simmons, Effie served as Vice President of Legal at M42 in Abu Dhabi, where she built their Legal Hub from the ground up and led comprehensive end-to-end legal transformation initiatives alongside numerous cutting-edge legal innovation projects. This hands-on experience has given her an acute understanding of in-house pain points and the challenges legal teams face in modern business environments.
Effie's passion for transforming legal services has earned her significant industry recognition. She was honoured as the LexisNexis Middle East Legal Services Innovator of the Year in 2025 and has been shortlisted for Woman of the Year in the Law Middle East Awards 2025.
