Nimesh is Of Counsel in our financial services regulation practice with a particular focus on cross-border licensing matters. He has advised a range of financial services institutions on UK and EU regulatory matters such as CRD 6, MiFID II, EMIR, operational resilience, LIBOR Transition, transaction reporting and regulatory horizon scanning.

Passionate about regulatory change, Nimesh strives to help clients stay at the forefront of regulatory headwinds and to be a strategic business partner by formulating innovative and compelling solutions. He prioritises client service, with clients appreciating his responsiveness and understanding of their business. He has broad in-house experience, having worked in the quantitative hedge fund industry, as sole EMEA Regulatory Counsel for a large international bank and in a fintech providing automated compliance solutions to financial services institutions.

Nimesh read law at the University of Cambridge and qualified as a solicitor in 2010 at a magic circle law firm. He is a trustee of BigKid Foundation, a South London charity which helps young people at risk of social exclusion and aims to end youth violence through sport. Outside of work, Nimesh enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, going to the gym and walking his Pomeranian, Thor.
