Romain is a French lawyer acting in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He has developed an expertise in the defence of industrials in product liability matters (including vaccines, medicines and medical devices) before French Courts and CCI in life sciences and chemical in relation to breach of agreements and claim recovery. Romain acts in industrials defence within the context of collective redress (class actions).
He advises clients in the drafting and negotiation of complex agreements related to these sectors (supply of product, supply of energy, distribution and co-distribution agreements, swap) and provides advice on issues related to compliance and criminal law.
Romain joined Simmons & Simmons in 2009. He graduated from Paris II Panthéon Assas University in Private law and holds a post-graduate in Life Sciences in Paris Descartes University. He passed the Paris Bar in 2009.
Before joining Simmons & Simmons, Romain worked for a leading Australian law firm in Sydney notably on a class action involving claims by group members who alleged to have suffered cardiovascular injuries due to the taking of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Romain is proficient in English.
