Calvin Tan is a highly experienced lawyer specialising in banking and finance, as well as restructuring. His practice is particularly focused on commodity and trade finance, funds finance, private debt, real estate finance and project finance. Calvin possesses substantial experience in advising both lenders and borrowers on structured lending transactions globally, and has a penchant for working on transactions involving emerging countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In addition to his banking practice, he provides counsel on restructuring and insolvency matters and has successfully enforced creditor claims and security in jurisdictions such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, and Cameroon. His clientele includes leading international and regional banks, as well as corporate borrowers.
