Ania has wide-ranging expertise in the asset management sector, and is particularly skilled at advising start-up hedge funds and asset managers on M&A. As the former co-chair of our gender network and the former gender balance partner, Ania is passionate about developing and retaining female talent in the firm, and across the wider business community. Ania also sits on the firm's Board and is a trustee of the firm's charitable foundation.

Ania is a partner in our Corporate group in London and heads up the UK Corporate Group and is also the National Practice Group Head for the UK CoComm practice group. She knows the asset management sector inside out, advising on transactional M&A work as well as managers of all sizes on day to day matters including reorganisations and partnership and shareholder arrangements.

As a specialist in start-up hedge funds, Ania works closely with asset managers to understand their business objectives, and delivers carefully tailored, practical legal advice to match. She was instrumental in developing LaunchPlus: US to UK, our online resource for US hedge fund managers expanding into the UK.

Since joining Simmons & Simmons in 2003 as a trainee, Ania has completed secondments at our offices in the Netherlands and Hong Kong, as well as with a US hedge fund. Ania features in The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds and was also listed as a rising star, new generation M&A partner by Legal Week when she first became a partner.
