International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that it will further strengthen its UK Corporate practice and Asset Management & Investment Funds (AMIF) sector offering with the hire of Jim McNally as a Partner in its London office.
Joining from McDermott Will & Schulte where he was a partner for 14 years, Jim advises on corporate advisory and transactional matters for asset managers and alternative investment funds, with a particular focus on asset manager M&A and corporate advisory, private fund arrangements and shareholder activism.
His experience also encompasses private equity and venture capital fundraisings, secondary fund transactions, fund restructurings and carried interest arrangements.
Jim is widely respected in the asset management and investment funds sector. Having operated in it for over two decades, he has been instrumental in delivering some of the highest profile asset manager M&A deals in the London market. He is also recognised as a Band 1 lawyer.
Jim's hire will further enhance Simmons & Simmons' AMIF advisory and asset manager M&A expertise and adds further private funds capabilities as the firm responds to growing demand from clients and the market. He holds multiple longstanding client relationships, and will leverage the firm's international network and sector focused platform to secure new opportunities.
