Professional regulation building control - BSR has appointed the Building Safety Competence Foundation and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers to become independent competence assessors for all building control surveyors in England. Registration is scheduled to open in October 2023, and more than 4,500 practicing building control professionals will need to be assessed and certified by April 2024. Code of Conduct for Registered Building Inspectors and Professional Conduct Rules for Registered Building Control Approvers were published June 2023.
