We are pleased to invite you to a short lunchtime webinar on director responsibilities across the UK and the EU and conflicts in asset management, with a particular focus on the practical challenges faced by individuals operating across multi-jurisdictional group structures.
It is increasingly common for directors to hold roles across multiple boards including Irish, UK and other entities, bringing with it complex questions around conflicts of interest, disclosure obligations, and personal liability. This session will take a practical, case-led approach, including a spotlight on the recent Irish High Court decision in Central Bank of Ireland v CD [2026] IEHC 203, which provides important lessons for individuals holding multiple senior roles within international asset management and financial institutions groups (see our case summary note here).
During the session, we will cover:
- Common conflict scenarios arising from cross-border roles
- Non-disclosure and information barrier challenges, including interactions with group investigations
- Regulatory expectations and evolving scrutiny of directors’ conduct
- Whistleblowing obligations and managing personal liability and reputational risk
- Practical steps and controls to mitigate risk in multi-board structures
The session will be led by members of our Financial Services Regulatory and Corporate teams across the UK and Ireland, bringing a combined cross-jurisdictional perspective on how regulators approach these issues in practice.
We would be delighted if you could join us.
