International law firm Simmons & Simmons has further enhanced its fund finance offering with the appointment of Partner Natalie Sharkey in its London office. The hire follows the appointment of Chu Ting Ng, who joined the team in May from the same US-headquartered global law firm.
Natalie is a fund finance specialist advising on the full range of fund finance products, including subscription line facilities, net asset value (NAV) facilities, general partner, co-invest and management lines, continuation vehicle financings and bridge lines.
Natalie acts primarily for lenders, with experience across bank and strategic borrower-side clients.
Her arrival adds further depth to Simmons & Simmons’ fund finance bench at a time of continued growth in the market and increasing client demand for dedicated fund finance expertise. She will work alongside existing London Partners Jen Yee Chan, John Sayers and Chu Ting Ng, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients across its international network.
Commenting on the hire, Helen Hagan, Head of UK Banking, said: “Natalie Sharkey is another strong addition to our fund finance team, following our recent hire of Chu Ting Ng. Natalie’s technical expertise, lender-side experience and market relationships will further enhance our ability to support clients on complex fund finance transactions, while strengthening our dedicated partner bench in this important area of growth.”
On joining Simmons & Simmons, Natalie Sharkey commented: “Simmons & Simmons has a strong reputation in fund finance and a compelling international platform across financial institutions, asset management and investment funds. I am excited to join the team and to help build on its momentum as clients continue to look for sophisticated, cross-border support in this fast-growing market.”
