Simmons expands Irish financial regulatory team with partner hire

Simmons & Simmons strengthens its financial service regulation practice in Dublin with the hire of partner Louise Dobbyn

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has further strengthened its financial service regulation practice in Dublin with the strategic senior hire of partner Louise Dobbyn.

Joining from Matheson, Louise is recognised as one of the leading advisers in the Irish market on Irish and EU financial services regulation. Louise brings significant experience advising international financial institutions including banks, investment firms, fund service providers, fintechs and crypto firms on Irish and EU financial services regulation. Her practice covers the full spectrum of advisory and transactional regulatory services, including strategic planning, authorisations, regulatory change projects, M&A, and ongoing compliance support.

Louise's arrival will further strengthen Simmons & Simmons’ ability to support clients across the Financial Institutions and Asset Management & Investment Funds sectors. Her hire will allow the firm to respond to growing client demand for complex, cross-border regulatory advice, and reflecting its commitment to growing its regulatory offering in Ireland and across Europe.
