International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised private equity firm H2 Equity Partners on its investment in Safety Shield Global (“Safety Shield”), in partnership with the firm’s management team.
Founded in 2018, Safety Shield is the market leader of AI human form recognition systems, supporting software solutions and data capture for plant machinery. Safety Shield works directly with a global base of original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”), contractors, plant hire companies and end-customers to help them deliver higher safety standards across a range of end-sectors including infrastructure, energy, construction and industrials.
H2 Equity Partners (“H2”) is a leading Western European investment firm, founded in 1991 with over £500m of committed funding. The firm specialises in investments in mid-sized companies in the UK and Ireland.
H2’s investment will enable Safety Shield to deliver an ambitious growth strategy, focused on accelerated sales expansion and continued investment in its market-leading AI solutions to help improve safety standards for customers.
The Simmons & Simmons team was led by Richard Kyle, Partner and Head of the firm’s UK Private Equity Group.
