New partner Tjerk de Jonge strengthens funds capabilities in Amsterdam

Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its Amsterdam office and European transactional offering with the appointment of Tjerk de Jonge.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its Amsterdam office and European transactional offering with the appointment of Tjerk de Jonge as Partner in its Corporate practice.

Tjerk joins after over a decade at Clifford Chance, where he specialised in corporate and Asset Management & Investment Funds (AMIF) transactions, with deep experience advising private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on fund formation, M&A and complex cross-border deals. He also has over 14 years of experience working as a candidate civil-law notary.

Tjerk brings to Simmons & Simmons a broad transactional practice focused on financial investors and cross-border work, advising on acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, governance arrangements and fund structuring.Over his career, Tjerk has acted for major international sponsors and institutional investors.

Tjerk's arrival strengthens Simmons & Simmons' AMIF and Financial Institutions sectors in the Netherlands, enhancing the firm's ability to support private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on complex cross-border corporate and fund transactions from Amsterdam and across its international network.
