The Paris office of international business law firm Simmons & Simmons advised Supermarket Income REIT plc for the acquisition of a portfolio of 20 Carrefour supermarkets in France in a sale & leaseback transaction.
After having assisted Supermarket Income REIT plc in 2023 and 2024 with its first real estate acquisition in France consisting of 17 Carrefour supermarkets, and then with a further 9 Carrefour supermarkets in early 2025, Simmons & Simmons has now advised Supermarket Income REIT plc on the acquisition of this new portfolio, valued at €123 million (excluding acquisition costs) with a gross internal area of 44,000 m², consisting of 20 supermarkets located throughout France, expanding Supermarket Income REIT's existing portfolio to new locations.
