On 22 August 2024, the FCA updated its Overseas Funds Regime (OFR) webpage to confirm that the gateway for new schemes will open on 30 September 2024.

New schemes are those which are not in the Temporary Marketing Permissions Regime (TMPR) – these can apply to join the OFR at any time from that date and do not need a landing slot.

For firms which are in the TMPR:

  • landing slots for stand-alone EEA UCITS will start in October 2024
  • landing slots for umbrella UCITS will start in November and will be allocated in alphabetical order based on the fund operator's name.
