Dr Michael Wildscheck is leading Financial Services Regulatory in Luxembourg.
Michael advises banks, investment firms, asset managers, insurers and other regulated businesses on complex financial services regulatory and compliance matters.
He brings approximately 15 years of experience advising on financial services regulation across leading international law firms and in-house at a global financial institution, combining deep technical knowledge with practical and commercially focused advice.
He advises clients across the full spectrum of financial services regulation, including banking regulation, insurance regulation, governance, prudential requirements and conduct matters. He also advises on emerging regulatory frameworks impacting digital assets and financial market innovation.
Michael works closely with colleagues across Simmons & Simmons’ international Financial Institutions and FinTech Groups, supporting clients in navigating evolving regulatory requirements and market developments.
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, Michael worked in leading international law firms, including Magic Circle environments, as well as in-house at a global financial institution.
Michael holds a Doctor of Law (Dr. iur.) from Saarland University (Universität des Saarlandes). He is qualified to practise in Luxembourg and speaks French, English and German.
