John is a German qualified lawyer (Supervising Associate) in the Frankfurt real estate team specialising in tenancy and property law as well as public law, covering environmental, planning and infrastructure law.
He advises national and international clients, including investors, banks, asset managers, insurance companies and project developers, on all real estate-related matters. This includes advising on real estate investments in the context of share or asset deals as well as on real estate-related public law matters and ongoing asset management, in particular the drafting and negotiation of leases. Additionally he assists clients in developing strategies to avoid legal disputes. John also advises on alternative arrangements to purchase and sale; such as forward structures and investor models.
John studied law at Philipps-Universität Marburg. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main.
Before joining Simmons & Simmons in 2025, John worked as an associate at a leading international law firm, focusing on real estate transactions.
