Jeroen is an Associate in our Brussels office and a member of the Employment group. He advises and represents clients on all aspects of individual and collective employment law, immigration matters, and social security issues. Jeroen supports clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, delivering pragmatic solutions and clear, business-focused advice.
His expertise covers a wide range of employment law matters, including hiring and termination, disciplinary issues, performance management, discrimination and harassment, flexible remuneration and benefits, and whistleblowing. Jeroen also advises on collective employment law, including works councils and unions, collective bargaining, restructurings, and transfers of undertakings. In addition, he has experience in immigration matters such as work authorisations, A1 and posting rules, and business travel compliance, as well as social security contributions, benefits, cross-border situations, audits, and disputes.
Jeroen regularly represents clients before the Belgian labour courts and is experienced in advisory work, policy design, and compliance investigations.
He holds a Master of Laws from the University of Louvain (KU Leuven) and a Master in Social Law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where he wrote his thesis on the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and its impact on Belgian labour law. Jeroen is a member of the Brussels Bar.
He is fluent in English, Dutch, and French.
