Amber Sparks is an associate in the Structured Finance and Derivatives team at Simmons & Simmons, London. Amber advises on asset-backed finance, structured products, and derivatives, with experience across securitisations, trade finance, structured note programmes, repack transactions, OTC derivatives and deal-linked hedging. Amber combines technical expertise with a practical, client-focused approach to support clients including banks, financial institutions, and corporates acting as borrowers, lenders, issuers, agents, and trustees.
Her experience includes:
- Advising on complex cross-jurisdictional transactions and navigating UK and EU regulatory frameworks, including EMIR, BMR, and FSMA compliance.
- Knowledge of Islamic finance products, including Sukuk and Islamic derivatives, supporting clients in emerging and innovative markets.
- Secondment to Dubai at her previous firm, advising on UAE onshore and offshore legislation and supporting on domestic and international Islamic and conventional finance transactions for regional and global clients.
