Marc Bohne is a partner in the Real Estate group at Simmons & Simmons. He specialises in real estate transactions, with a focus on the acquisition and sale of real estate properties and property holding companies as well as advising the set-up of joint ventures. Marc has significant experience in corporate real estate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings but also advises on asset management matters, including lettings. He regularly acts for a wide range of international and domestic clients, providing strategic advice across the real estate sector.
His recent experience includes:
- Slate Asset Management on the acquisition of 188 retail properties from X+bricks (transaction volume EUR 1bn)
- 777 Capital on the acquisition and subsequent sale of the Oberpfalz-Arkaden development in Sulzbach
- 777 Capital on a share deal for a Berlin micro living development
- Madison International Realty on its joint venture with StoneVest and the acquisition of two light industrial properties
- Cerberus, in joint venture with Arrow, on the acquisition of a logistics property in Ludwigsfelde
Marc is consistently recognised as a leader in his field by publications such as JUVE, Legal 500, Chambers Europe, Best Lawyers, and Who’s Who Legal: Real Estate. He has been named among Germany’s Best Lawyers for Real Estate Law by Handelsblatt and ranked by JUVE among the top 16 leading real estate partners under 40 in Germany. Legal 500 and Chambers Europe have recommended him for Real Estate & Construction.
He studied at the University of Lausanne and the University of Cologne. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for major international law firms in Frankfurt.
